How Redotest handles student files.
Last updated: May 2026
What we collect
Redotest stores account details such as name and email, imported reviewer content, extracted questions, answer keys, quiz attempts, weak-topic progress, and scan history needed for daily limits.
Uploaded files are processed to extract text. Redotest stores the resulting study state, not a public copy of your reviewer.
How we use it
We use your data to create quizzes, save progress across sessions, restore your saved study data, enforce scan limits, and help support your account.
We do not sell student reviewer content. Review center files should only be uploaded by people who have permission to use them.
Uploaded files, OCR text, and AI-made questions stay tied to the account that uploaded them. We do not share them with other students or use them to build a public question bank.
OCR and AI services
Redotest may send uploaded files or extracted text to OCR and AI providers so the app can read documents, make questions, generate answers, and explain quiz results.
These providers process the file for the requested scan or quiz generation. We keep this use limited to operating Redotest for the student account.
Security and limits
Accounts use secure login through Supabase. Scan imports require a logged-in account, approved paid access, and daily scan limits to protect the service.
No OCR system is perfect. Students should review flagged questions before saving or printing a test.
